What Docket does with your details
Docket is a small independent publication. This page says what the website collects and what happens to it, in plain words.
What you give us
- When you use the signup form: your email address, your primary role, and the plan you pick.
- If you email us: your message and your address.
Right now the signup form keeps what you type only inside your own browser. It is not sent to us. Until sign-up is connected to an email list and payments, we do not receive it.
When signup is connected
- We will use your email to send the monthly Docket digest and messages about your subscription.
- Payments will be taken by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. We will not see or keep your full card details. Dodo holds your payment records under its own privacy policy.
- We will not sell your email or share it with funders.
Other things this website does
- It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google can see that your browser asked for them.
- It is hosted on Vercel, which keeps normal server logs, such as your IP address and the pages you opened.
- It has no advertising. It can use Microsoft Clarity, a free analytics tool, to count visitors and see how the page is used. When Clarity is switched on, a banner asks for your choice first. Clarity sets cookies and may record where you scroll and click only if you accept. Anything you type into the signup form is masked. Microsoft's privacy statement applies to Clarity.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it.
- To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email us and we will do it.
- To remove what the form saved in your browser, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
